My heart has skipped a beat...

...at the fabric that dropped on my doorstep from Fat Quarter Shop this morning:

I havnt been this exited about a fabric line in aaaaaaggggggggeeeesss! Isnt it gorgeous? Its Children at Play by Sarah Jane. I am depersate for the girl version too but sadly funds are somewhat lacking after this little blowout.

I adore it even more then on screen, the tones are just perfect, playful and great for boys and I happen to have one of those who would love it...yes I know my W.I.P this week is also a boy quilt but I'm sure someone said you can never have to many of those so I'm rolling with whoever said that.

Speaking of W.I.P I have assembled my blocks, I just need to sew them together and do a bit of applique.

Now, as exited as I am about the children at play fabric I'm (somehow) going to hold back till I start a dresden quilt which I've been wanting to make since I began quilting, I have most of the fabrics so I feel now is the time!

Now, go link up with freshly peiced!, theres a lot of great W.I.P this week :-)

  1. I know what you mean about Children at Play. I got two 1/2-yard sets, girl and boy, and they ARE fabulous! I didn't get the blue or orange dots or gingham--definitely ordering those as well!

  6. Lovely fabrics. I have just found your blog through googling Pfaff QE4. Do you still love your machine? I bought one last August and love it for piecing but whenever I use it forFMQ, tear my hair out. It's so unpredictable. Monday fine, Tuesday -uneven stitches, broken thread, bad tension. Aaagh. Just wondered how you're finding yours?
