Gone Quilting...

DSC01612a

My £15 bedsheet is attached to the back of this quilt. I've hand quilted my first row, and its pretty easy to quilt through. so far so good.

I've also been continuing to practice my FMQ:

  6. Did you do the FMQ on your Pfaff? I have the same machine and have a heck of a time quilting. What I think is happening to me is the weight of the quilt and it's not very big..baby size, pulls and the top thread keeps breaking. I've taken it in several times and when using just a sample piece, it works just fine..thus my conclusion..any ideas???

    1. I did yes Carolyn, weight should have nothing to do with it, Iv succesfully stippled a single bed sized quilt, Thread broke just twice, but I was probably moving to fast. what thread are you using?, have you tried changing it to another brand? Also make sure the top thread spool is in horizontal position in FMQ.
